| I
began my artwork in August 1999 after
taking two sememsters of ceramics in
college, I discovered the artist in me
waiting to break out. My works are truely
unique. They have been hand thrown and
hand painted with my origionaal designs.
My Cherokee / Choctaw heritage plays a
big roll in my work. I
have participated in art shows in Utah,
Nevada, Arizona, California, Colorado,
Wyoming, New Mexico and Oklahoma at the
Cherokee Heritage Center. I am on the
Artist Registry at VSA Arts in Washington
D.C. and I am a registered Native
American Artist.

I
have won a number of awards for my work
but the most rewarding experience for me
has been to teach ceramics to teens in a
Residential Treatment Facility in
Southern Utah. It is a great experience
to see young minds open up to their own
creativity.

My
work has been self discovery, listening
to the clay and creating what is in my
minds eye. My goal is to continue
learning, experimenting, evolving and
developing my artistic talents. To devote
my time, energy and soul into my earth
walk as an artist. I have moved from
Southern Utah to Colorado this year to
continue this journey and to draw
inspiration from my new surroundings.
I
create usable art that is unique and
beautiful. I feel truly blessed to have
been given this opportunity to create
what I see in my minds eye. I throw from
my soul, inspired by my surroundings and
thank the Great Spirit daily for being
able to do something I truly love in a
place I love.
